Sao Paulo-SP) - Athletes from all over the country are expected on December 7, in Botucatu, in Cuesta Paulista, to compete in the fifth edition of the Ultra Trail Run 70k Brasil Ride, the largest mountain running competition in the country. Participants will face, in trails and mountains in the region, distances of 70 km, 32 km, 16 km and 5 km, in addition to the kids category, with routes of 300 and 600 m, making the children's party.
"The biggest differential of our Ultra Trail Run 70k Brasil Ride is that the race has distances for all levels. From the beginner, who can do a 5 km race for the first time, even people who started running three years ago and today will 32 km. Or, going a little further, for those who already have experience and are looking for the 70 km, whether to finish in time limit or to try the prize money. The challenges are diverse ", explains Rafael Campos, race director .
The dispute will be one of the responsible for the closing of the season of the calendar approved by the International Mountain Running Association, ITRA, in the country and in South America, with the presence of several high level athletes from the national circuit. As in 2018, those who complete the 32 km route also add points in the entity's ranking, and not only in the 70 km, as it was in the year of debut in the ITRA ranking, in 2017.
Some big names of the national mountain race are already confirmed in the fifth edition, such as the 70k three-time champion Silvanio do Nascimento, who in second place in 2018, and now tries to recover the title of the main dispute. Top 5 in the last year, David Rafael Sossai will be one of Silvanio's competitors. Representatives of Brazil in this year's World Championship, Diana Bellon and Elizabete Prado are confirmed in the 70k. In the distance of 32 km, highlight to the champion of 2019, Alexandre Oliveira, who will defend his title.
Registration is still open - To guarantee a place in the competition, just access the Brasil Ride website: www.brasilride.com.br and in the "Trail Run" tab, click on the race image to register. There, the athletes will find all the detailed information of the dispute of the next December 7, as well as the complete rules of the event.
Full schedule - The schedule of the Ultra Trail Run 70k Brasil Ride starts on Friday (6), with the removal of the kit for all categories, between 16h and 22h, at the Ginásio Municipal Mario Covas Júnior (during the removal of the kit it will be possible to hire transfer for the day of the race, from the center to the start). At 19h the technical briefing will be held (mandatory for 32 km and 70 km). On Saturday (8) there will also be kit removal, from 9 am to 13 pm, however, only for the 16 km, 5 km and kids categories.
The 70 km start will be the first on Saturday, at 6am. At 8:30 am the transfer of the athletes from the 32 km race to the starting point, Fazenda Pedra do Índio, will start. At 10 am it will be the turn of the 32 km start. Trail Kids will be the first race in the afternoon, at 14pm. Then the 16km runners will leave at 15pm, and the 5km will end the competition, starting at 16pm. The awards are scheduled to start at 17:30 pm, in the same place where all arrivals will take place.
The Ultra Trail Run 70k Brasil Ride has the support of the Botucatu City Hall, Land Rover, Unidas, Full Gas, Red Bull and SABESP - Basic Sanitation Company of the State of São Paulo.
